Open door - corridor - every 3rd 10'x10' xquare makes a popping sound but no other effects until we arrive at next door.  Arden finds trap on door and disarms, but at the same time floor drops out from under Elion and Ben - they fall.  Elion uses Monkey Ways to slow falling; Ben activates his Feather Fall ring.  They fall for six seconds (a long time).  Every time they reach 20' below the floor of the passageway they are portalled back up to 10' below the floor, and still falling.  When they hit bottom it looks like they are only 30' down, but have fallen 320'.  Elion takes damage, which Ben cures.  Beari drops a rope to them, which goes wacky -- at 20' down the end suddenly reappears at only 10' down, etc.  Elion casts Dimesion Door and takes Ben with him back to the passageway.

Arden does the door stuff and opens it.  We go in: very large room (eventually) 200' x 120' with a door every 5' around all four walls.  They all look just the same, except for having numbers: 1 - 127 to our left (West then North walls); 2 - 128 to our right (South then East walls).  Arden has us cross the room diagonally, to more quickly see the entirity of the room.  We stop to listen periodically.

GM says there are no traps on the floor of this room so we don't have to keep checking for them.

We move to the far side and then hang back while Arden checks doors for traps - checks 126, 128, 123, 125 doors.  No traps.  Arden unlocks a door - opens to a stone wall - pokes wall - feels like a wall.  Second door ditto.  Third door ditto.

Ranged touch attacks.

Elion turns and looks for a target
Beari moves to North Wall 50' from NW corner
Zora moves to the south 120' finds nothing
Arden moves to be with Elion, Farryn, and Ben
Ben says 30' around him has Protection from Evil; casts True Seeing to see what we are fighting, sees spider-looking thingy

2. Phase Retriever1 phases in and out, attacks everyone with Beholder secondary eye beams; everyone saves (some thanks to Ben's Protection from Evil)
Zora finds and hits PR1 (Ghost Touch sword)

3. Beari moves to NW corner
Ben casts Prayer
PR1 beams Zora (she saves), misses Elion and Beari, beams Arden twice, Ben twice, Farryn twice

4. We advance
Zora attacks PR1 lots, kills it
We take its eyes in victory

We decide that there are too many doors to try them all individually.  Ben offers to casts Divination.  That sounds good to everyone, but not out here where more Phase Retrievers might be.
Beari casts Lemond's Secure Shelter and we go inside.
Ben begins casting Divination.

1. PR2 appears and attacks: Arden is slowed, Ben is afraid; Elion and Farryn take damage

2. PR2 attacks: Zora saves, Arden is slept; Ben is afraid and slowed; Farryn saves; Beari takes 15 cold damage
Beari Magic Missiles, kills, takes its eyes!

Effects run out; Ben casts Mass Heal.  But Ben's Divination casting was interrupted, he will need to wait until he can ask for that spell again tomorrow.
Since Phase Retreivers can invade the Shelter, Beari cats Rope Trick and we all climb up there to spend the night and regain spells.

Ben casts Divination, receives a suitable cryptic answer requiring math skills:
"An even door
"An even even door
"An even even even door
"An even even even even door"
Which eventually translates into the door number must be a multiple of 16.

We try doors 16, 32, 48 - find untrapped, unlocked doors with stone walls behind them.

1. PR3 attacks; Arden, Farryn, Ben, and Zora all save.
Arden looks for target
Farryn reveals light stone, tosses it
Ben casts True Seeing on Zora
Zora see PR3 and charges, hits, hits again (Haste) and criticals for 90 - kills - take its eyes

Door 64 - untrapped, unlocked, stone wall
Door 80 - trapped; Arden disables; locked; Arden unlocks; opens, sees wall, prods with staff - staff goes through, everyone disbelieves illusion
We go through and close door.
