Sword 19, 5040

We continue to spiral in the depths loking for the salvation of the puzzle piece. This is no fun!
We find an inner wall and need to get passed.
Tie a rope to Beari to check height! more than 50' high. Beari swims, Z flies - we find a plateau in the water - submerged - go back down.
Mark the inner wall then attempt to circumnavigate; we watch for sharks; we find a pit with a bottom we can almost see - Z checks pit (nothing) - we finish circuit and decide to explore the plateau.
Beari swims up with rod and rope; all climb rope; take rod and rope, leave X on the ceiling.
We begin to explore the plateau; we see a glow ahead; there are spikes 1' apart from ech each other, plateau to ceiling, each with a face lit by foxfire.
We go around the outside - no way in. A pokes Spike with rod; Z tries to break spike with sword; A pokes mask, tries making it spin in opposite direction.

A touches a mask and feels Fear; all the masks start tosay, "Help me, Free me, Bless me."
A runs away - Beari, Ben, try to catch him but miss; Z & F chase A.

Ben Blesses Masks, some go away happy. Ben casts Prayer - doesn't work; verbal Blessing (not spell) works.
Beari starts Blessing - does 13 successes - continues to bless masks as fast as she can; I'm blessing and blessing and blessing; Z and A try to help.
1 hour 20 minutes later, when all the masks have gone, a puzzle piece appears in the ceiling. We take it and head out; escape the water land and back to the octagon room.

We go to the Southeast door and enter the combination and go in.
Find a moist pit that eats A's staff. Beari disbelieves floor - it isappears revealing an Acid Pit; Z flies each ally across; A marks edge with chalk; we continue. Magic Mouth says, "Bell out of Order, Please Knock".

400' more: dead end. A searches; Beari disbelieves the dead end: walls, ceiling 50' back all disappear and we are surrounded by so many mummies! I don't want my mummy or yours or anyone elses!

(1) F shoots at Mummies and hits some; they hit her also. Beari casts Blink; A hides and scouts; Z becomes The Whirling Blade and kills 10; Mummies attack.
(2) F shoots, kills 4; Beari Blinks and yells, "Close your Eyes!"; Ben turns/dusts 14, closes his eyes; Z whirls, kills 10, closes eyes; A scouts; mummies attack.
(3) F closes eyes; Beari casts Sunburst and kills ll remaining mummies.

We search the cavern for the puzzle piece - it's in the back - we return to the door - Z inserts piece - Z catches piece - we are in the middle again.
